J&K: 3 laborers swept away in river Jehlum in Uri

Srinagar, Mar 3 (Reporter) At least three laborers were swept away in the river Jhelum after a portion of the bridge they were working on collapsed in the border area of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday. Police said the labourers were working on an old bridge when one of its portions collapsed and they fell into the gushing waters of the river at Mohura Uri. The three missing labourers have been identified as Shakeel Ahmed Mir a resident of Kupwara, Bilal Ahmed Reshi of Budgam, and Mohammad Aslam Chouhan of Anantnag, police said. A video surfaced on social media showing a body lying between the rocks in the river.
