Phagwara, Mar 3 (Reporter) A university student died on the spot when his motorbike skidded off the road in heavy rain here in Punjab's Kapurthala district, poliee said on Sunday. The two pillion riders sustained injuries in the accident on Hardaspur road late Saturday evening. All three were brought to civil hospital where doctors declared one of them brought dead. In another mishap, three members of a family including mother and her two children sustained critical burn injuries when a cooking gas cylinder suddenly exploded in their kitchen in village Chachoki near Phagwara during heavy downpour late Saturday evening. Police said the injured woman Chandra Devi (30). her daughter Shivasni (4) and son Bhola (1.5) were admitted in local civil hospital.
