Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel has said that it is the duty of a public prosecutor to present just arguments with dedication and patience. He stated that facts are the truth. The law naturally supports arguments based on facts. Governor Shri Patel said that the judiciary is the pillar of democracy, upon which citizens have deep faith. They regard it with the highest respect. The role of prosecution officers in the judicial system is very important and multifaceted. Their responsibility is not limited to prosecuting cases on behalf of victims. They have to present evidence in court, convict the guilty, and deliver justice to the victims. As prosecution officers, their role in controlling crime through police investigations, providing legal advice to government departments, filing appeals in cases, and ensuring compensation for victims will be significant. He said that as a prosecution officer, the deprived, poor, and victimized individuals will approach them as protectors of their struggle for justice against oppression and injustice. During such times, their sensitive behavior, empathy, and cooperation will strengthen the victims’ trust in justice.
