Israeli detects launch of missile from Yemen, intercepts it

Jerusalem, May 27 (Reporter) The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said it had intercepted a missile from Yemen launched in the direction of Israeli territory. "Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in several areas in Israel, a missile that was launched from Yemen was intercepted," the IDF said on Telegram. The Ansar Allah movement, also known as the Houthis, has launched hundreds of missiles and drones at Israel since the start of the conflict in the Gaza Strip in October 2023.
