Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is currently undergoing a phase of rapid development, and no corner of the state will remain untouched by its progress. There will be no shortage of funds for developmental works. Alongside activities related to water conservation, the state government is also advancing irrigation facilities. Our government is committed to ensuring permanent irrigation infrastructure in every village of the state. The river-linking campaign is a major step in this direction—two large river-linking projects are already underway, and work on a third project is being coordinated with the Government of Maharashtra.
CM Dr. Yadav was addressing a public interaction under the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan and laying foundation stones and inaugurating development works in Divyagawan, Sirmaur Assembly constituency, Rewa district, on Thursday.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated five development projects worth ₹50.73 crore, including the Government Birsa Munda College in Divyagawan (approx. cost ₹6 crore), and performed bhoomi-pujan (foundation stone laying) for two other projects. He also inaugurated 501 newly constructed farm ponds in Rewa district, built at a cost of around ₹7 crore under the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan.
The Chief Minister emphasised that this "development yagya" (sacred endeavour) will not pause or stop. He urged the local villagers to actively support the government in developmental activities.
Dr. Yadav also made several announcements including Construction of a new college building in Baikunthpur, Establishment of a Sandipani School in Chaukhandi, Upgrading Janpad Panchayat Jawan to the status of a Municipal Council, Connecting selected village groups in Janpad Jawan through canals under an irrigation scheme, Sanctioning funds for the construction of a stop dam, and Formation of a separate Gram Panchayat for three proposed village groups in the region.
