Investigate Chamundi Company blast in Nagpur, give Rs 25 lakh to kin of each deceased :Congress

Mumbai,June 14 (Reporter) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) Vice President Organization and Administration Nana Gawande on Friday demanded a thorough investigation into the explosion at an ammunition manufacturing company and Rs. 25 lakh compensation to the kin of each of the deceased and Rs 10 lakh to injured . As many as six people were killed and six injured in the explosion at Chamundi Explosive Company in Dhamanalinga area on Nagpur Amravati Road on Thursdayu. Gawande said that among the 6 people who died in the explosion in the company, 5 were women. Among the six injured, three including two women are in critical condition. The Congress leader alleged that after the big explosion in the company, it took almost an hour and a half for the fire brigade and ambulance to reach there. He alleged that no senior official was present in the company and no safety measures were taken for the workers in the company. Gawande wanted to know whether these workers were properly trained. The state government should pay serious attention to this and ensure that such an accident did not happen again., he said. The Congress leader alleged that the assistance of Rs 5 lakh announced by the state government to kin of each of the deceased, is very inadequate and demanded the government to give Rs 25 lakh to the kin of each of the deceased. This government does not take any matter seriously, he alleged. Nagpur is the home district of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
