Interim budget to give impetus to building of developed, self-reliant India: Yogi

Lucknow, Feb 1 (Reporter) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said the interim budget, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Lok Sabha, will give impetus to the building of a developed and self-reliant India. The CM thanked Sitharaman for presenting a development-oriented budget in accordance with the hopes, expectations and aspirations of 140 crore Indians under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. While reacting on the interim budget, he said that the interim budget presented in the Lok Sabha under the guidance of the PM will prove important in fulfilling the dreams of every section of the society including villages, poor, farmers, youth and women. Yogi said that with the aim of women empowerment, the target of Lakhpati Didi Yojana has been increased from 2 crore to 3 crore. "Also, the decision to bring Asha sisters under Ayushman Yojana is welcome," he said. The CM said that to achieve the goal of 'Housing for All', the government has set a target of building 2 crore new houses in rural areas. "This scheme will ensure availability of permanent houses for the poor. At the same time, the target of building three new rail corridors and the decision to convert 40,000 railway coaches into Vande Bharat will give impetus to industrialisation in the coming years," he said. Yogi said that sectors like defence, agriculture, infrastructure, industry, energy, education and health have been promoted in the budget. "This interim budget is a pledge for the prosperity of 'New India', it has a vision of Antyodaya and aims to serve 140 crore countrymen," he said. Earlier, Yogi wrote on social media platform, "The interim budget presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has the vision of 'Developed India', the resolve of Antyodaya and the 'road map' to make 'New India' the growth engine of the world.
