Lucknow, Mar 4 (Reporter) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday strongly criticised the Samajwadi Party (SP) over the Ansal Group issue and issued a stern warning to builders who have deceived home buyers in the state. During the debate on the annual budget for the financial year 2025-26 in the assembly, the CM announced that all its assets would be seized if Ansal Group had defrauded even a single home buyer. He assured that the culprits would be tracked down, even if they were hiding in the underworld, and would face strict punishment. He accused the SP of shielding the Ansal Group and said the company was a product of the party's SP regime. He alleged that during the SP's rule, Ansal's illegal demands were met at the cost of investors and home buyers, who were blatantly cheated. While the SP government had extended undue favours to Ansal, Yogi said that his government had curtailed these privileges and begun tightening the noose around the company.
