Shimla, Feb 22 (Reporter) The higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh experienced fresh snowfall, plummeting the night temperature to near zero in many places in the state. According to the Indian Meteorological Department Bharmour, in Chamba, Kothi, Kaza, and Nichar, there was five cm of snowfall, Kukumseri (Lahaul Spiti) 1.8 cm, Kalpa 1.3 cm, Sangala 1.2 cm, Manali and Recong-Peo one, and Keylong 0.3 cm. Tourist resort Manali had 17 mm of rain, Dalhousie 7 mm, Chamba 4 mm, Bharmour 3 mm, Seobagh 0.6 mm, and Bhuntar 0.3 mm. The minimum temperature of Kukumseri in Lahaul Spiti was minus 14.6 degrees,Kalpa minus 5.6, Narakana minus 2.5, Manali minus 2, Reckong Peo minus 1.6, Bharmour minus 1.2, Kufri minus 0.6, Shimla and Solan 1.4 each, Mandi 2.8, Chamba three,Una 3.6, Bhuntar Airport 0.8, Jubberhati and Kangra 4.4, and Bilaspur 4.8. About 400 roads, four national highways, and 289 power transmission lines are still affected by snowfall in the state.
