Shimla, Sep 7 (Reporter) The court of Municipal Corporation Commissioner here has deferred the hearing of illegal mosque construction matter till October five, directing the respondents to file affidavit into the matter. Shimla MC commissioner Bhupinder Attri sought affidavit of both the commissioner on illegal construction of multiple-storey structure. It is worthwhile to mention that after serving seven notices to the respondents Imam of Sanjouli mosque, the civic body issued a challan in the Shimla MC court, as there was no response from the respondents. Meanwhile, the Himachal Pradesh Waqf Board also arrayed itself party in the matter and submitted that Waqf Board claimed that mosque was constructed on its lands should be kept with Board. The counsel for the respondents stated that they did not construct mosque beyond the permissible limit of two-and-half-storey and the matter was pending with Shimla MC for some time.
