Chennai, July 26 (Reporter) Stating that he was hospitalised and could not take part in the events when
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch various developmental and infra projects and attend the
Adi Thiruvaathirai festival during his two days visit to Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister M K Stalin today
said instead Minister for Finance, Environment and Climate Change Thangam Thennarasu would submit a memorandum containing the state's demands to Mr Modi.
In a post on X, Mr Stalin he has given a memorandum through Chief Secretary N Muruganandam
and it would submitted to Mr Modi by Mr Thennarasu.
In another post, Mr Stalin said he held discussions with Mr Muruganandam via video conferencing
today on submitting a memorandum listing out various developmental projects that needs to be implemented and gave the nod for submitting it to Mr Modi during his visit.

The State government had been consistently urging the Centre to release funds due to the State under various schemes including SSA funds to the tune of Rs 2,152 crore, GST and other dues.
The Centre had been refusing to release SSA funds after the State government refused to
implement the NEP-2020, which envisaged implementation of three-language policy and an
attempt to impose Hindi.
Tamil Nadu has long been following the two language policy and all the political parties, including
DMK and main Opposition, were united in their stand in opposing the three-language policy...////...
