Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who united the nation, four youth Ekta Yatra are being organized across the country. Among these, the Ekta Yatra starting from Nagpur will pass through Madhya Pradesh. The journey will enter Madhya Pradesh from Pandhurna district, proceed to Betul, then move through Indore, Dhar, and Jhabua, before entering Gujarat at Godhra. From the entry into Madhya Pradesh to the exit into Gujarat, the Ekta Yatra should be given a grand, glorious, and warm reception.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav issued these instructions to officials on Wednesday via video conferencing from Patna. He directed that during the journey’s stay in Madhya Pradesh, all arrangements related to security, traffic management, night halts, welcome ceremonies, cultural programs, tree plantation, and other activities should be meticulously planned in consultation with local representatives.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasised that along the entire route, arrangements must be made at the local level for Welcoming the journey with full grandeur, Exhibitions showcasing Sardar Patel’s life, memoirs, and poetry readings, Plantation of ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, Cleanliness drives and Swadeshi exhibitions, Performances by cultural troupes, folk dances, youth interactions and athlete participation. He directed all officials to maintain high-level coordination to ensure the success of the event. The Chief Minister also held discussions with representatives and officials on preparations for the Nagpur-originating journey passing through Madhya Pradesh. He urged the Sports and Youth Welfare Department to involve as many youth and athletes as possible and ensure extensive publicity of the journey.
