Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized that mass marriage programs should be given a creative shape. He stated that efforts should be made to make the financial assistance provided under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana (CM’s Girl Marriage Scheme) more meaningful. He suggested involving affluent and capable members of society in these events. Participation of public representatives should also be ensured, and these events should convey important messages against societal evils. Lavish weddings must be avoided. Such programs should be made more beneficial and given a creative format by eliminating social evils. On Tuesday, during a review meeting of social justice and empowerment schemes for Divyangjan (differently-abled) held at Samatva Bhavan, Chief Minister’s residence, Dr. Yadav issued necessary directives. The meeting also reviewed the participation of non-governmental organizations in social service and the implementation of welfare programs for Divyangjan. Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, and other senior officials were present at the meeting.
