New Delhi, Sep 6 (Reporter) Delhi University Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh was honoured with the ‘Shikshak Padak’ by the Guru Govid Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) on the occasion of Teachers Day. Yogesh Singh, a former faculty member of GGSIPU, recollected the old memory of 25 years back working with the varsity in a small room at Kashmere Gate. He credited the learning of administration skills, academics, and extracurricular activities to the GGSIPU. He quoted, “Degree is just a piece of paper, and education is what is reflected in one’s character.” A ‘Silver Jubilee Book’ was released on the occasion. The programme was organised by the Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW). A colourful cultural performance was presented by the students of DSW. Prof. Manpreet Kang, Director, DSW, delivered the welcome address.
