Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav paid floral tributes to former Chief Minister late Shri Dwarika Prasad Mishra on his birth anniversary at the Central Hall of the Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday.
CM Dr. Yadav said that revered Dwarika Prasad Mishra’s contributions to the development of Madhya Pradesh will always be remembered. He was widely known as a ‘Pandit’ of politics for his deep understanding and leadership. Pt. Mishra, as Chief Minister, steered his party through the prevailing political circumstances of the time and successfully implemented welfare schemes at the grassroots level.
CM Dr. Yadav, speaking to the media at the Assembly premises, commended Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar for initiating the tradition of paying floral tributes to former Chief Ministers and Speakers of the Assembly. He said this tradition honours the legacy and welfare work of the distinguished leaders who served the state.
Assembly Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Leader of Opposition Shri Umang Singh Singhar, and members of the Council of Ministers were present at the occasion.
