Shimla, July 23 (Reporter) Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday assured aid to Himachal Pradesh for reconstruction and rehabilitation following the extensive flood-related destruction last year. Presenting Union Budget 2024-25 in Lok Sabha, the Finance Minister specifically mentioned the plight of flood-affected Himachal Pradesh, pledging central assistance to support the state's recovery efforts. However, the exact size of the financial package for the state was not specified in Sitharaman's Budget speech.
