Five students of Army School awarded gold medals for innovative projects

Srinagar, Jan 29 (Reporter) Two innovative projects developed by the five students of Army Goodwill School, Wuzur were awarded with gold medal at the national level innovation competition, officials said. Out of the 50 innovations shortlisted from schools across the nation, Army Goodwill School, Wuzur in south Kashmir- being run by Indian Army- stood out as the sole institution to bag gold medals for not one but two ground breaking projects. Srinagar based defence spokesman said the gold medal winning innovations “IoT based Home Automation System” and “Automatic Irrigation System” were developed by five students Moin Javid, Uzair Farooq, Basalat Reyaz, Arbaz Hussain and Itoo Barika of the school under the guidance of teachers, Javid Ahmad and Humaira Rashid. “The innovative projects by students showcase the school’s commitment to fostering creativity, critical thinking and innovation. These projects not only reflect the student’s dedication but also underscore the quality of education and mentorship provided at Army Goodwill School, Wuzur,” the spokesman said. The spokesman said the Indian Army was immensely proud of the students of Army Goodwill School for achieving this unprecedented milestone.
