Navi Mumbai, July 7 (Reporter) A severe fire erupted late yesterday night at a truck parking facility adjacent to the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) market in Turbhe Sector 20 of neighbouring new Mumbai city, causing extensive damage to commercial vehicles. No injury was reported. The July 6 blaze, visible through towering flames and smoke from a distance, destroyed around eight trucks and tempos, including vehicles belonging to Kashmiri transporters, though no injuries were reported. The fire broke out at an MSRTC bus depot repurposed for temporary truck parking. Witnesses reported hearing explosions during the incident as flames spread rapidly among parked vehicles. Firefighters responded to the scene but faced challenges during operations. "Firefighters hesitated to proceed after receiving our assistance," claimed affected truck drivers who spoke to media. Kashmiri transporters voiced distress over their losses. "Both our vehicles burned completely. We've traveled from Jammu and Kashmir. WWho will compensate us? What do we transport now?
