Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Madhya Pradesh is maternal home of rivers. We do not have glaciers here, but we do have dense forests and water resources. To ensure that no village and no field in the state is deprived of water, our government has started work on three major river linking projects in state. Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal River Link Project is one of them. Guna district will receive great benefit from both PKC and Kumbhraj Major Irrigation Project, as water will reach every village and every field here. This project will transform image of Guna district.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the gratitude gathering organised by people of the district in Binaganj of Chachoura Assembly Constituency in Guna district for the PKC River Link Project. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the approval of Kumbharaj Major Irrigation Project costing about Rs 5138 crore. With this project, more than 97500 hectares of agricultural land in Guna district has now received facility of year-round irrigation.
In the programme, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated and performed foundation-laying of 604 development works of various categories worth a total of Rs 175.76 crore for overall development of Guna district.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced the provision of Rs 4 lakh for liver transplant of Shri Rajesh Khandelwal’s daughter of village Binaganj. Rs 1 lakh has already been provided earlier by the government for his daughter's treatment. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also announced Rs 1 lakh financial assistance for Smt. Mamta Vishwakarma. The Chief Minister also announced Rs 12 lakh for complete development of Gaushala in Binaganj.
