Amethi (UP), Feb 19 (Reporter) Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Monday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that the farmers of the country were going to Delhi for their rights, but where Narendra Modi erected a wall.
While addressing the public meeting in Amethi during his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Rahul said that during the ongoing movement, the farmers are feeding the policemen but the same police are stopping them.
He said that first Narendra Modi made 3 laws for the farmers, now he is not fulfilling the demands of the farmers. "I have promised the people of the country that things will be in the interest of the farmers," he said.
The Congress MP said that India is a golden bird, this country gave money to Adani and Ambani. How much money was given to me, you people ask the question. He further said that a year ago he traveled 4,000 kilometers from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.
He said, "Many people came with us during the yatra and told us what was in their hearts. Lakhs of people came to us and told us their problems. During the Bharat Jodo Yatra, many people asked to bring the Yatra here. After which the second Yatra was taken out from Manipur."
Rahul said that Manipur is on fire, hatred has spread between two groups. "When we went, people from both the communities invited us. We listened to the views of both the communities and also welcomed us," he said.
He said that in Varanasi a youth came to him crying that the paper had been leaked. "The youth said that I had dreamed that he would get employment. The paper for which he studied and spent lakhs of rupees is already going viral on mobile," he said.
The Congress leaders said that 50 percent backward people, 15 percent Dalits and 8 percent tribals constitute 73 percent of the total population. "But Dalits, tribals and backward people are not getting jobs in any government or semi-government job," he said.
