Ex-MP Jaya Prada acquitted in violation of MCC case

Fatehpur (UP), July 11 (Reporter) Bollywood actress and former MP Jaya Prada was acquitted by an MP-MLA court here in Rampur in a five-year-old case related to violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) during Lok Sabha elections, prosecution sources said here. Prosecution sources said in 2019 when Jaya Prada was contesting the Lok Sabha election from Rampur on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket a case of violation of the MCC was lodged against her at the Kemri police station. The case was being heard in the MP-MLA court of Civil Judge (Senior Division) Shobhit Bansal. "After the arguments of both the sides have been concluded the court fixed July 11 as the date for its decision," they said. On Thursday Jaya Prada appeared before the court. While pronouncing its decision the court acquitted Jaya Prada. While coming out of the court she said that she had been acquitted. She said that she respects the court a lot and is very emotional and happy with its decision and will never forget this moment...////...
