Ensure availability of hostels for working women in all cities of the state: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has directed that hostel facilities be made available in all cities of the state for the convenience of working women. He said that the "Sakhi-Nivas" facilities, operated under Mission Shakti by the Women and Child Development Department, should be expanded to industrial areas where a large number of women employees are working. Activities related to employment-oriented training and skill enhancement for girls and women should be conducted in coordination with relevant departments.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasised that to ensure the health, physical development, and proper nutrition of women and children, the Women and Child Development, Health, and AYUSH departments must prepare and implement a comprehensive action plan. He also stressed that coordination should be ensured with urban bodies and Panchayati Raj institutions for the availability and maintenance of Anganwadi buildings.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav issued these directives during a review meeting of the Women and Child Development Department held at the Mantralaya on Wednesday. A short film was presented on the “Moti Aai” campaign, which was launched for a malnutrition-free Jhabua, and the innovation was praised as exemplary. The review meeting was attended by the Women and Child Development Minister, Sushri Nirmala Bhuria, Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajora, Principal Secretary of the department Smt. Rashmi Arun Shami, Commissioner Women and Child Development Smt.Sufia Farooqi Bali and other concerned officials.
