Lucknow, Nov 9 (Reporter) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said that the launch of the state’s first double-decker electric bus service will help reduce traffic problems and is an important step toward environmental protection. Speaking after inaugurating the state's first double-decker electric bus service at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan at Gomti Nagar, The CM said, "Being electric, this bus service will help in reducing pollution. Similar double-decker electric bus services will be launched in other major cities of the state in the near future." He flagged off the state's first double-decker electric bus and also took a ride with children and learned about the features of the bus. Yogi informed that the Hinduja Group is setting up an electric vehicle plant in the state, with production expected to begin soon. He emphasised the government's ongoing efforts to promote local art and handicrafts in UP.
