Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has stated that new courses focused on Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence should be introduced at the Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, in line with current needs. He also emphasized that the university should establish itself as an advanced research institute in the field of media. Dr. Yadav highlighted the importance of initiating activities within the university related to the communication and impact assessment of state-run welfare schemes.
These directives were given by the Chief Minister during a meeting of the university’s General Council held at Samatva Bhavan, Chief Minister’s residence. The meeting was attended by Higher Education Minister Shri Inder Singh Parmar, Indore MP Shri Shankar Lalwani, University Vice-Chancellor Shri Vijay Manohar Tiwari, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Shri Manish Rastogi, Secretary and Commissioner Public Relations Dr. Sudam Khade, and other members of the General Council. CM Dr. Yadav directed the formulation of an action plan to launch job-oriented courses at the university’s Rewa and Khandwa campuses. The Council approved the introduction of one-year postgraduate programs under the National Education Policy.
