Jammu, Mar 25 (Reporter) Police on Monday arrested a hardcore criminal with a country-made pistol and two live cartridges in Vijaypur area of Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir. Police said that during a special checking of vehicles at Gurha Morh, Vijaypur, an SUV (sports utility vehicle) on way from Jammu to Kathua was intercepted for checking. “On seeing the police party, the driver tried to escape, but alert cops successfully intercepted the vehicle and apprehended him. During checking, a country-made automatic pistol along with two live cartridges was recovered from his possession, said police.
