Srinagar, Sep1 (Reporter) Communist Party of India (CPI-M) leader Mohamad Yousuf Tarigami on Sunday pledges to champion people’s issues on every possible platform inside or outside the Assembly. “CPI(M) promises to own people’s issues and speak about the problems on every possible platform, whether in the assembly or outside it”, Taragami said during a rally at Kulgam in south Kashmir today. Tarigami, is contesting the assembly election from Kulgam segment in south Kashmir. Tarigami appealed to the youth for their support and said that the CPI(M) is committed to continuing the fight for their rights, pledging to remain dedicated to their cause until his last breath. Addressing rallies in Arreh, Awhatoo, Bumrath, and Kachawhallan, Tarigami criticized the current government for its harassment of the people, saying that he aims to go to the assembly and speak vehemently against this oppressive government. “I won’t make hollow promises to people that I will fulfill all your wishes, but I promise that I will own your issues and speak about your problems on every possible platform, whether in the assembly or outside it”, he said adding “I will never stand with those who have caused suffering to J&K—this is my promise until eternity”. Tarigami said that he had previously proposed harnessing the potential of the Veshow river in Kulgam for electricity generation.
