Selja said that the underground water level has dropped as deep as 500 feet, and the water is saline to taste. Therefore, this water is not only unfit for irrigation but also undrinkable. People in these villages are facing difficulties due to the lack of irrigation water and insufficient drinking water. The underground water level continues to drop. Villages such as Shaheedanwali, Natar, Salarpur, Begu, Rangdi Khera, and Chouburja are among those affected. In these villages, there is no provision for irrigation water, and people are forced to bring water from canals in tankers for drinking. The Congress MP urged the Chief Minister to take effective measures to address the irrigation and drinking water issues in these 20 villages, and fulfill the long-standing demand of the people...////...
