Cong fields Priyanka Gandhi from Wayanad

New Delhi, Oct 15 (Reporter) The Congress on Tuesday nominated Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as its candidate for the bye-election to the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency in Kerala. The seat was vacated by Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, who retained the Raebareli seat of Uttar Pradesh. He had won from both the seats in the general elections earlier this year. With her name officially announced by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka will make her electoral debut from the seat. Moreover, the party also announced the candidates for the bye-elections to the Kerala assembly.
