On the auspicious occasion of Holi, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav participated in the vibrant 'Phoolon Ki Holi' with citizens at Kalidas Academy, Ujjain, on Friday late night. As part of the Amrit 2.0 Mission, he also performed the Bhoomi Pujan for sewerage projects worth Rs 476 crore across various city wards and the Simhastha region, benefiting a population of over 3 lakh.

Dr. Yadav reaffirmed the government's commitment to enhancing Ujjain's glory, stating, "We are fortunate to have a heavenly city like Ujjain." He emphasized the grand preparations for Simhastha-2028, with projects worth Rs 2,329 crore currently underway. Additionally, major infrastructure developments include:

Water Resources Department: Three projects worth Rs 2,533 crore

Energy Department: Six projects worth Rs 329 crore

Road Construction: Two-lane and four-lane roads worth Rs 9,650 crore

Tourism Development: Projects worth Rs 382 crore

Cultural Initiatives: Rs 259 crore in investments

Medical Infrastructure: A Medical College in 'MediCity' and other key healthcare projects

Dr. Yadav assured that all Simhastha-2028 projects will be completed by June 2027, stressing that a grand and successful event is a collective responsibility.

He further announced that a world-class Pepsico factory will be established in Ujjain's industrial area for large-scale potato chip production. Additionally, Ujjain will soon be home to a new zoo.

Speaking on investment opportunities, the Chief Minister highlighted that domestic and international industrialists are eager to invest in Madhya Pradesh. The government is also promoting cow milk production, offering financial bonuses to citizens engaging in cow rearing at home. Additionally, the government will care for helpless and destitute cows by setting up gaushalas (cow shelters) with a capacity of 10,000 cows per city. Financial aid for cow shelters has been doubled from Rs 20 to Rs 40 per cow.

Furthermore, the Ken-Betwa, Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal, and Tapti River projects are set to expand irrigation capacity across 100 lakh hectares of land, strengthening agricultural productivity. Meanwhile, efforts are also underway to develop metropolitan cities in the state.

The event saw the presence of Member of Parliament Shri Anil Firojiya, MLA Shri Anil Jain Kaluheda, Mayor Shri Mukesh Tatwal, Municipal Corporation Speaker Shrimati Kalavati Yadav, former MLA Shri Rajendra Bharti, Shri Ram Lal Yadav, Shri Sanjay Agarwal, Ujjain Divisional Commissioner Shri Sanjay Gupta, along with a large gathering of dignitaries and citizens.
