Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav paid floral tribute to the statue and portrait of Veerangana Rani Avantibai on her 194th birth anniversary at Mata Mandir Square in Bhopal on Saturday. CM Dr. Yadav said that Rani Avantibai devoted her entire life to the cause of the nation’s freedom and self-respect. She was a valiant queen in Indian history who fiercely fought against British rule and sacrificed her life for the protection of the motherland. Her life will always inspire society with courage, sacrifice and devotion.  Chief Minister Dr. Yadav further said that the nation pays reverent tribute to Rani Avantibai Lodhi, who dedicated herself to the motherland during the Revolution of 1857. Rani Avantibai shook the oppressive British rule with her valor, bravery and battle skills and awakened the masses to the cause of independence. The nation can never repay the debt of her supreme sacrifice.
