CM Dr. Yadav Pays Surprise Visit to the Historic Gopal Temple

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav paid a surprise visit to Indore’s historic and religious heritage site, Gopal Mandir, on Friday. He performed rituals and offered prayers at the temple, and closely reviewed the ongoing development works. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that the newly constructed hall within the temple premises has been developed as ‘Geeta Bhavan’, which will be dedicated to the public on December 1, coinciding with Geeta Jayanti. The hall has a seating capacity for 500 people and will be equipped with all modern amenities, becoming a center of religious and cultural significance.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav warmly interacted with children at the temple and also conversed with nearby shopkeepers. He inspected all ongoing restoration and renovation efforts in the temple complex, giving instructions to restore the temple to its ancient and glorious form. The Chief Minister stated that the state government has decided to organise diverse events across the state on Geeta Jayanti. He informed that Geeta Bhavans will be developed in every district to promote religious, cultural and spiritual activities.

During the inspection, Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, MLA Smt. Malini Laxman Singh Gaur, Police Commissioner Shri Santosh Kumar Singh, Collector Shri Shivam Verma, Municipal Commissioner Shri Dilip Kumar Yadav, Smart City CEO Shri Arth Jain, and Shri Sumit Mishra, along with other public representatives, were present.
