Civil Servants Must Ensure Welfare Schemes’ Success: Governor Shri Patel

Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that civil servants should ensure the success of the welfare schemes of the Central and State governments. He urged them to remain sensitive towards the deprived and weaker sections of society and extend a helping hand to them, while also playing an active role in building a developed India.

Governor Shri Patel was addressing aspirants who secured selection in the Civil Services from ‘Sankalp Sansthan’ at the Narmada Club Auditorium on Sunday. He congratulated all the successful candidates and felicitated the mentors, guides, and achievers of the institute on the stage. He appreciated the efforts of the institute in grooming talented students and helping them achieve success.

Citing the Rigveda, the Governor said, “Gyaani log agyaaniyon ko bhi gyaanvaan banaate hain”, meaning the true value of education lies in educating those who are uneducated. Education is the medium that brings change in society and ensures progress. He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the New National Education Policy has given students the opportunity of unbounded learning, paving the way for building a new India. He said, “For a ‘Vishwaguru Bharat’ and a new world order, it is essential that youth always dream new dreams and dream big”.
