Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav paid tribute to revolutionary freedom fighter Amar Shaheed Hemu Kalani on Tuesday by garlanding his statue in Sindhi Colony, Ujjain. Dr. Yadav noted that the occasion marks Hemu Kalani’s Balidan Diwas, honouring his sacrifice for the country’s freedom at only 19 years. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted the immense contributions of Hemu Kalani and other revolutionaries, whose tireless efforts ended nearly a thousand years of foreign rule. He praised the brave martyrs born in every century who defended Indian culture and upheld the saying, "Janani Janmabhoomishcha Swargadapi Gariyasi.’ Dr. Yadav emphasized how British invaders looted India’s wealth and acknowledged the ultimate sacrifices of freedom fighters, who expelled the British and stopped this exploitation. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that from the time of Prithviraj Chauhan (1192) to 1947, India’s history has been enriched by brave martyrs and warriors. He underlined the continuous struggles of Maharana Pratap, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the Gond Empire, Bajirao Peshwa, the Scindia Empire, the Holkar Empire, and others against foreign invaders. Dr. Yadav noted the repeated attacks by Mughals and other invaders on India’s temples and culture but emphasized the timely responses that preserved Sanatan culture. He also mentioned restoring significant temples, including Shri Chintaman Ganesh, Bada Ganpati Maharaj, Shri Kalbhairav, Shri Mangalnath Maharaj, and Shri Siddhnath Maharaj.
