Thiruvananthapurm, May 26 (Reporter) 'Chalo LOC,' a dynamic youth movement that emerged in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack, will begin its journey from Kalady, Adi Shankaracharya’s birthplace in Kerala, on June 1 to reach Sharda Temple in Teetwal near the Line of Control (LOC) in Jammu and Kashmir on June 12. With a convoy of 100 Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycles, 'Chalo LOC' plans to embark on a powerful protest ride under the slogan "Bullets Against Bullets" aiming to honour the terror victims and raise a call for justice and peace, Ride Captain of 'Chalo LOC,' R. Ramanand told UNI. Commenting on the journey, Kerala BJP chief Rajeev Chandrasekhar said, "The symbolic ride of pride and resistance from Kalady to the Sharda temple is meant to pay tributes to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack." R. Ramanand, who is also Director of Abhinavagupta Institute of Advanced Studies, said: "The heinous act of terror is a stain on humanity, fuelling rage against the perpetrators whose targeting of defenceless visitors reveals a hatred that must be condemned and eradicated with unrelenting resolve." "In a defiant stand against this cowardly act of terror, a group of enraged citizens in Kerala has formed the organisation Chalo LOC, vowing to channel their outrage into action," Ramanand added. "With a convoy of 100 Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycles, they plan to embark on a powerful protest ride from Kalady, the sacred birthplace of Adi Shankaracharya, to the Sharadha Yatra Kshetra at Teetwal, near the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir." "Under the rallying cry "Bullets Against Bullets", this ride symbolises a fearless rebuke of violence with the thunder of their bikes, demanding justice and an end to such atrocities. The journey to Teetwal underscores the riders' resolve to reclaim peace and unity in the face of terror’s divisive intent," he added. "The sacred thread connecting Kerala to Kashmir weaves a fabric of spiritual unity, embodied in the legacy of Adi Shankaracharya. From the serene banks of Kaladi, where the great philosopher was born, to the hallowed Sarvajna Peeta in the Sharadhapeeta of Kashmir, this bond is eternal," Ramanand said. "Adi Shankaracharya, the revered master, enthroned the Sarvajna Peeta, a seat of universal wisdom, in the sacred precincts of Sharadhapeeta. Today, this sacred space lies under unlawful occupation by Pakistan, yet the spirit of Bharat remains undeterred," he said. This extraordinary pilgrimage will cover approximately 3,600 km in 12 days. This journey is not merely a ride through the diverse landscapes of India but a profound act of devotion, tracing the spiritual legacy of Adi Shankaracharya from Kerala to the sacred environs of Sharadha," he said. "Chalo LOC is a youth-led, non-political movement uniting over 100 riders from Kerala to Kashmir in a peaceful journey of purpose. We ride to honour our soldiers, awaken patriotism, and remind the nation: We’re not just watching. We’re showing up. One Ride. One Voice. One India," Ramanand said...////...
