Phagwara, July 22 (Reporter) BJP Leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal on Monday welcomed the Union government's decision to lift the ban on government employees participating in activities of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Grewal praised the RSS as a patriotic and cultural organisation, and congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for removing the ban. He highlighted the humanitarian efforts of the RSS during various national disasters, such as earthquakes and floods, where volunteers have often gone beyond the call of duty, surpassing even local administration in providing aid and relief. He emphasised that the RSS has been continuously dedicated to nation-building and societal service for the past 99 years.
