Kannauj (UP), Mar 26 (Reporter) Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Uttar Pradesh has "crossed all limits of corruption and loot" in the last eight years. While talking to the reporters after participating in the 1108 Kundiya Mrityunjay Maa Pitambara Maha Yagya in the boarding ground of Kannauj, Akhilesh said, "Corruption and loot increased so much that when the eight year was over, the police had to file an FIR to arrest their IAS. This is the first time in the history of the country that when the government is pretending to celebrate, an IAS steeped in corruption linked to the top of the power has gone underground." He said that this is the first government whose MLAs are openly demanding change. "BJP MLAs are accusing the government of corruption and dishonesty. An MLA has gone further and is demanding to send Baba Ji (Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath) out of UP. He is saying that UP does not need him. Another MLA from Basti is saying that he has never seen so much corruption," he alleged. The SP chief claimed that the CM does not want to answer the questions of the people. "That is why he talks about random things. He never answers the questions of the press media," he said. He said that these days people are speaking the language of farewell. "Now the time has come for their farewell. The people have made up their mind that the government which stops development, progress, ends jobs, increases inflation, corruption, injustice and atrocities, has to be removed," he said. Akhilesh said that the government is claiming that the income of the people has increased. "The truth is that the income of the people living around the government has increased but the income of the common people has not increased," he said. He said, "If something has increased in this government, it is corruption. Somewhere 50 crores were caught. Somewhere IAS is taking commission. Somewhere extortion is happening. The BJP government spreads hatred in the society to divert attention from corruption, extortion and loot. Makes false allegations to defame political opponents," he alleged. The SP chief said that Dr Ram Manohar Lohia, Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, Netaji Mulayam Singh Yadav and Janeshwar Mishra are the ideals of the socialists. "We socialists are walking on the path shown by them. Socialist people are working for development, prosperity and harmony. We are spreading the fragrance of brotherhood in the society like the perfume of Kannauj," he said. He said that in the coming times, the people of the state and the country will work to remove the BJP government which spreads stench and hatred.
