Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has emphasised that medical tourism is an emerging sector and holds immense potential in Madhya Pradesh. He directed that, along with the Health Department, the AYUSH Department should also play an active role in promoting this sector. Speaking at a review meeting of the AYUSH Department held at the Mantralaya, Dr. Yadav said that wellness centers should be established near tourist, religious, and spiritual destinations across the state. These centers can provide visitors with access to natural therapies and Panchakarma treatments offered by the AYUSH Department.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, AYUSH, and Technical Education, Shri Inder Singh Parmar; Chief Secretary, Shri Anurag Jain; Additional Chief Secretary (CM Office) Dr. Rajesh Rajora; Principal Secretary Finance Shri Manish Rastogi; Principal Secretary AYUSH Shri D.P. Ahuja; and other departmental officials.
