Srinagar, Apr 8 (Reporter) Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi on Tuesday visited Srinagar and forward posts along the Line of Control in north Kashmir to assess the overall security situation and review the operational preparedness of the forces. Army said General Dwivedi visited Srinagar to assess the current security situation and operational preparedness. He received a detailed briefing from the General Officer Commanding of the Srinagar-based Chinar Corps on the prevailing security scenario in the region. The Army Chief also interacted with formation commanders and held discussions on a wide range of security-related issues. Army’s Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADGPI) in a post on X said that General Dwivedi commended all ranks for their unwavering commitment, operational readiness and professionalism. Later in the day, the army chief visited forward posts on the LoC in north Kashmir to evaluate the security situation and operational readiness.
