Mumbai, Jan 10 (Reporter) The decision of the State Cabinet to give exemption from State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) to the film 'Satyashodak' based on the life work of Krantisurya Jyotiba Phule and Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule has been welcomed by individuals, organizations, and individuals in the political, social, and cultural fields.
Special thanks are being given to state Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar for bringing and approving the proposal in this regard in the cabinet meeting just two days after he gave instructions in the meeting organised in Mantralya.
The 'Satyashodhak' movie is based on the lives of Krantisurya Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule, who opened the doors of education to the Bahujans, the great man of truth-seeking thoughts, the hard work and sacrifices made by the Phule couple for untouchability, the spread of education, social reforms, and the inspiring fight of their truth-seeking movement. It will come in front of everyone.
Therefore, Pawar was directed to submit a proposal to give tax exemption to this film to reach more citizens in a meeting held in the ministry on January 8.
After that, this decision was taken by bringing a proposal to the first cabinet meeting. Due to this decision, Pawar's decision and efficiency have been sealed again.
