Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said Madhya Pradesh is becoming economically prosperous. According to NITI Aayog, Madhya Pradesh is the fastest-growing state in the country. In the future, this pace of development is expected to accelerate even further. The state government is working to make farmers self-reliant on electricity. Farmers will now generate their own electricity using solar energy and operate pumps independently. If they produce more electricity than they consume, the state government will purchase the surplus and make payments accordingly.

Solar pumps will be provided at just 10% of the total cost. For solar pumps ranging from 2 HP to 5 HP, farmers will only need to deposit 10% of the cost, while the rest will be covered by the state government. This scheme will free farmers from electricity bills. As many as 3.2 million solar pumps will be distributed within three years. Farmers will be able to generate electricity for irrigation, household use, and other purposes.

CM Dr. Yadav was addressing the Agri-Industry Conclave: 2025 in Sitamau (Mandsaur). He praised the diverse produce grown by farmers in the Mandsaur-Neemuch region and stated that the event in Sitamau was organised specifically to promote advanced agriculture.
