Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav Chaired the Cabinet Meeting in which the decision was taken to exclude Nazul land of Pachmarhi town from the boundary of the sanctuary. The Nazul area of Pachmarhi town, measuring 395.931 hectares, which is under the administrative control of SADA, will be excluded from the boundary of the Pachmarhi sanctuary. Earlier, through a notification dated 22 December 2017, 11 villages located on the perimeter of the Pachmarhi sanctuary were excluded from the sanctuary and some villages were kept in an enclosure.
The Cabinet approved the granting of an additional amount of Rs 50 lakh to medal-winning athletes in the Paralympics. For the implementation of the Chief Minister's announcement, an additional amount of Rs 50 lakh will be given to bronze medal winners in the 2024 Paralympics, bringing the total honorarium to Rs 1 crore.
It may be noted that Chief Minister had announced an honorarium of Rs 1 crore to paralympic athletes Ms. Rubina Francis and Mr. Kapil Parmar for their excellent performance in the paralympic Games. In the paralympic Games held in Paris, France from 28 August to 8 September 2024, Ms. Rubina Francis from M.P. won a bronze medal in shooting, and Mr. Kapil Parmar won a bronze medal in blind judo.
