Chandigarh, Jan 7 (Reporter) In a major breakthrough, Fazilka police arrested 4 accused and recovered 2.10 lakh prohibited tablets (Alprazolam and Clobidol 100), Rs 1.70 lakh drug money, and 3 vehicles, said DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav here on Tuesday. FIR under NDPS has been registered at PS Sadar, and further backward linkages are being made to destroy the illegal pharma drug cartel. In another incident, the Amritsar Commissionerate Police have busted a cross-border drug cartel by arresting 4 accused who were in contact with Pakistan-based smugglers using drones to push drugs across the border.
