Dehradun, June 16 (Reporter) A car carrying seven passengers went out of control and fell into a deep gorge in Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand on Sunday, killing four people on the spot and leaving three others injured.
State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Superintendent of Police (SP) Manikant Mishra said that this morning Kotwali Srinagar was informed about a vehicle accident near Khirsu Chowbatta and sought help of a rescue team.
The SDRF rescue team headed by Jispar sub-inspector Devidutt Barthwal was immediately sent to the spot.
The passengers of the Swift car were headed to a marriage ceremony, when the driver lost control and the car fell into a 200 metre deep gorge.
The three injured were taken to the hospital by the district police and local people, while the four bodies were recovered from the ditch...////...
