Shahjahanpur (UP), May 24 (Reporter) A 32-year-old youth was shot dead by two persons allegedly over an illicit relationship in Nigohi area of Shahjahanpur district in Uttar Pradesh, a police officer said on Saturday. Circle Officer (Sadar) Priyank Jain said Amit Trivedi, a resident of village Pisora Nakampur in Mohammadi area of Lakhimpur Kheri district, had come to his in-laws' house in Jeva Mukundpur village on Friday to attend a wedding. "Here Amit was shot in his head and killed. Police reached on information and recovered the body lying outside the village," they said. He said a preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased Amit had illicit relations with a woman, due to which there was some dispute at night during which he was shot dead.
