Firozabad (UP), Oct 31 (UN) A youth was killed and several others were injured in an explosion in a container on national highway in Sirsaganj area of Firozabad district here in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, police sources said here. Police sources said that the incident took place when an explosion took place in a container on Agra-Kanpur highway. "After getting the information the police reached the spot and took the injured to the hospital where a youth was declared dead. Police sources said that Deepesh, Ravi and Shiv Kumar sustained serious injuries, whereas others were discharged after treatment. "It is being said that the container was going from Manesar Haryana to Kanpur and 25 people were sitting in the back seat of the container in a hurry to reach home due to Diwali," they said. Police sources said that it is being said that the explosion took place as the youth, who died, was carrying firecrackers in his bag. "The deceased could not be identified.
