Yogi performs Rudrabhishek on Akshaya Tritiya

Gorakhpur, May 10 (Reporter) Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday performed Rudrabhishek at the Gorakhnath Temple on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya and offered prayers to Lord Shiva for the well-being and prosperity of the people of the state. The CM also extended heartfelt wishes to the people on Akshaya Tritiya. At the Shakti temple situated on the first floor of the Gorakhnath temple, he performed Rudrabhishek by offering 'bilva' leaves, lotus flowers, 'durva' and various other puja materials amidst the recitation of mantras. Following Rudrabhishek, the CM performed 'havan' and 'aarti'. Extending his greetings on social media platform X, Yogi said, "Best wishes to the people of the state on the auspicious festival of good fortune and prosperity, Akshaya Tritiya. I pray to Tribhuvan Swami Lord Shri Vishnu Ji and Maa Lakshmi Ji that everyone's life be filled with happiness, peace, prosperity, and good health." Akshaya Tritiya is also celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Parashuram. "Heartfelt wishes to the people of the state on the birth anniversary of Lord Parashuram, the eternal symbol of knowledge, bravery, and power," he said. Upon spotting CM Yogi during his visit to the Gorakhnath temple complex, a large contingent of devotees from Maharashtra, who had come for the darshan of Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath, erupted in joy.
