Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that yoga helps eliminate diseases and brings balance to the body, making it free from disorders. He emphasized that everyone should practice yoga daily to maintain good health. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted that, thanks to the initiative of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India’s ancient tradition of yoga has gained international recognition, which is why International Yoga Day is now celebrated not just in India, but across the world on June 21. The Chief Minister made these remarks while reviewing the preparations for the 11th International Yoga Day programme, scheduled to be held on June 21, at Samatva Bhavan in his official residence on Tuesday.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that International Yoga Day should be celebrated with full enthusiasm and dedication. Referring to the weather department’s forecast of possible rainfall on the day, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed officials to select a venue for the state-level mass yoga session that is covered from above (with a shade or roof) and can accommodate the maximum number of participants. He emphasized that yoga practice should include everyone—children, youth, the elderly, and women. Proper and well-planned arrangements should be ensured for the yoga programme. There should be no waterlogging at the venue, easy accessibility to the location, and adequate parking facilities must be arranged. The Chief Minister further suggested that, as far as possible, the yoga sessions should be organized in the covered premises of schools, colleges, medical colleges, or other educational institutions.
