Chennai, Dec 19 (Reporter) The Well Marked Low Pressure area over the bay is expected to move towards North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, during the next 12 hrs and thereafter towares Andhra Pradesh coast in the subsequent 24 hrs. Met office on Thursday said the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal lay over Southwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal at 0830 hrs of today. The associated upper air cyclonic circulation extends up to 5.8 km above mean sea level. The system is likely to move nearly northwestwards towards North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coast during the next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move nearly northwards along Andhra Pradesh coast during the subsequent 24 hours. Once the systems moves towards the Andhra Pradesh coast, there would be decrease in rainfall activity in almost all districts of Tamil Nadu. Squally weather with wind speed reaching 35-45 kmph and gusting up to 55 kmph is likely to prevail along and off Tamil Nadu coast, adjoining Comorin area ad Gul of Manner and along and off North Tamil Nadu coast for two days.
