Ambala, Sep 23 (Reporter) Former Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij on Monday accused the Congress of plagiarising the BJP manifesto for the state Assembly elections.
VIJ was countering the opposition Congress' allegation that the BJP had copied from its manifesto for the October 5 poll.
"We have been ruling for 10 years, and many Congress leaders have visited our offices, our government's offices, and perhaps someone overheard. We didn’t copy anything; Congress has stolen our manifesto," said Vij.
Regarding the incident where farmers in Garnala village of Ambala stopped him and protested, Vij said, "We had a program in Garnala yesterday, for which we had taken due approval from the Election Commission. The Congress workers, a Congress Sarpanch, and people from two nearby villages were present. I personally know each one of them, and all their videos have been made, and they have been identified.
"They have resorted to hooliganism in disguise because Congress has accepted its defeat. Congress has a long history with hooliganism. This city has previously witnessed their hooliganism when they encroached on people’s properties. They have completely lost, and when people are scared, they behave like this," he said.
Attacking Congress, he said, "In 1984, when the massacre of Sikhs happened across the country, Rahul Gandhi’s father justified it. He had said that when a big tree falls, the earth shakes. Rahul Gandhi is his father’s son, so he will repeat the same things his father did."
Regarding Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s statement that his party would make Haryana drug-free when it forms the government after the polls, he said, "It’s the same party, the same leader, who is a servant of the Gandhi family. In one state, they say one thing, and in another, they say something else.
"They say that in Himachal, where Congress is in power, they will grow drugs and sell them. But before elections, they say they’ll make the state drug-free. Congress is using a double-edged sword...////...
