Bulandshahr (UP), Nov 12 (Reporter) A wanted criminal was arrested in an encounter with the police in Agouta area of Bulandshahr district here in Uttar Pradesh, a senior officer said here on Tuesday. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shlok Kumar said that on Monday night Agouta police were checking suspicious vehicles and persons near Fatehpur canal. "During this a man was spotted moving under suspicious circumstances. When challenged the suspect opened fire on the police team," he said. He said that in retaliatory firing the criminal sustained bullet injury in his leg and was arrested. "The criminal was identified as Ismail, a resident of Nidori village under Masuri police station in Ghaziabad. "He has been admitted to the district hospital," he said. The SSP said that Ismail was wanted in a Gangster Act case and a reward of Rs 15,000 was declared for his arrest. "Continuous efforts were being made to arrest the accused," he said...////...
